Pipitea Childcare was established in November 1988. It is a non-profit incorporated society and all surplus funds are re-invested in the Centre.
We provide a warm, caring environment in which children have the opportunity to develop emotionally, socially, intellectually and spiritually. Our overall objective is to aid children to reach their full potential by fostering self-esteem and independence through a non-violent free play programme, which reflects the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and multi-culturalism as incorporated in Te Whariki Early Childhood Curriculum.
We provide a full day programme of education and care - see our daily routines for under-two-year olds and over-two-year olds.
The Centre is a parent/staff cooperative for the primary use of children of public servants and from the wider community.
Our charter and policies can be viewed on the Policies page on this site.
